10th May 2022 - Tony Saxton visited us again, this time to talk about the Royal Observer Corps. He brought a wealth of objects and information.

Our meeting this morning this morning was a talk by Tony Saxton about his ancestor Christopher Saxton who was a map-maker,and as you can see, there was a good crowd.




Selby Abbey Community Project

As part of the project, local groups were invited to decorate a tree representing their group. Here is our tree - thanks to Sheila.




Medieval History Day - 20th September 2021

Many groups were represented at this History day with a Medieval flavour. There were stalls from surrounding villages, Abbot's Staith warehouse, Beekeepers, local farmers, Cochrane's vessels and of course our group. Here is our stall and some of the medieval actors.
